According to Mundo Deportivo, the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, PSV Eindhoven, and a number of La Liga clubs are also in the hunt.
Karbownik, a left-back who currently plays for Legia Warsaw, could be available for between £7million and £9million.
Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo also reports that Barcelona and Real Betis could do a financial deal together that has worked for them in the past.
Last year, Barcelona and Betis each paid half of Emerson’s transfer fee from Atletico Madrid. He went to Betis in order to get regular La Liga football, while Barcelona have the option of purchasing him outright from 2021.
Karbowski has impressed this season down the left flank, and can also play in a midfield role if required.
He has made 27 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing five assists, leading to a lot of attention for the 19-year-old.
Valencia, Sevilla, and Real Sociedad are other Spanish teams interested in Karbownik, while Portuguese club Sporting could also make a move.
Barcelona boss Quique Setien is looking to bring in some competition for Jordi Alba in his position, with the Spaniard now being 31-years-old.
Alba and Junior Firpo have shared the load this season, although Setien is said not to be sure about Firpo’s future in his first-team plans.
They have also been linked with AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez, and Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico in recent weeks, although they would both command a much higher transfer fee.
